Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By joining the ContextShelf waitlist or using the ContextShelf application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What ContextShelf does

ContextShelf is a macOS application that tracks project folder metadata on your device and generates AI-powered briefings to help you reconnect with dormant projects. The app reads file names and timestamps from folders you explicitly select. It does not read or upload file contents.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the briefing API
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Resell or redistribute access to the service without permission

4. Service availability

ContextShelf is currently in early development. We make no guarantees of uptime, feature availability, or continued operation. The service may change or be discontinued at any time.

5. AI-generated content

Briefings are generated by AI and are based on file metadata you provide. They are provided for informational purposes only. ContextShelf makes no warranty that briefing content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You remain responsible for your own work and decisions.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ContextShelf is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
